The West Haven Board of Education is comprised of nine members who
are elected by the voters of West Haven. They make decisions and set
policies that affect the West Haven School District. Members serve for a
four year term, with terms staggered so that four or five members are
elected every two years. The Mayor serves as an ex-officio member of the
Board. There are also three student representatives on the Board. These
are students from West Haven High School who are elected by the student
body. They will serve a two-year term.
